What exactly is ITR?
The Income Tax Return (ITR) is a form that must be filed with the Income Tax Department in India. It contains information on the individual’s earnings and the taxes that must be paid on them during the year.
ITR data should be for a specific fiscal year that begins on April 1st and ends on March 31st of the following year.
What are the different sorts of ITR refund status?
Processed
When the return is correctly processed, this status is displayed.
Submitted and awaiting e-verification/verification
This status is indicated when a taxpayer files an income tax return but does not e-verify it, or when the fully signed ITR-V has not yet arrived at the Central Processing Center (CPC).
e-verified/verified successfully
This status indicates that the taxpayer has submitted and properly verified the ITR, but the return has not yet been processed.
Defective
As shown by this status, the I-T department has found a problem with the submitted ITR.
Expired
This status means that the refund was not received within 90 days. In this instance, the taxpayer has the option of obtaining a refund.

- Fill in the blanks for PAN, Acknowledgement Number, and Captcha Code.
- Click ‘Submit’ to see the status of your refund.
- The status of your refund will now be displayed.
