UAE Announces New Abu Dhabi Bridge, Slashes Travel Time – Gulf Insider

Abu Dhabi inaugurated a new bridge that will cut travel time from 11 minutes to three minutes. The bridge will link Bani Yas East and Bani Yas West.

The new bridge was inaugurated by Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), Ali Al Shorafa. The inauguration ceremony was attended by various Director Generals, executives and officials.

Located on Abu Dhabi Al Ain Road (E22), the highway will improve traffic from Bani Yas to other areas in the city, with travel time set to be slashed by more than half.

The bridge will be able to accommodate over 1,400 vehicles per hour traveling from E22 and 1,100 vehicles from East or West Baniyas.
