Saudi Arabia has declared a holiday for all employees, both citizens and resident foreigners, in honour of Founding Day on February 22, 2023.
In addition, public sector personnel will receive an additional day off on the day following the holiday.
This is the second consecutive year that the Kingdom is celebrating this national holiday.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has officially declared February 22nd as a holiday for the public, corporate, and non-profit sectors in honour of Founding Day.
All employees, including both Saudi citizens and resident foreigners, will receive this official holiday.
Additional Holiday for Public Sector
According to Article 128 of the regulations, public sector personnel who are protected by the requirements of the executive regulations for Human Resources in the Civil Service will also receive a holiday on Thursday, the day following the Saudi Founding Day.
This is in line with the Kingdom’s efforts to recognize and celebrate its national past.
