Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum recently issued an order to rename Al Minhad district to Hind City.
New Name
- The new name, Hind, is an Arabic word meaning “100 camels” and is a common ancient name for girls in the Arab region.
Saudi Airlines Introduces “Your Ticket-Your Visa” System
- The name also has a personal connection to Sheikh Mohammed as it is part of his senior wife’s name, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.
