Wholesale, Retail trade and Vehicle repair sector has over 1.65 million workers

By the end of the first quarter of the Year 2023, there were around 1.653 million workers in the commercial sector of Saudi Arabia, it includes the wholesale and retail trade as well as vehicle repair. Trending : Saudi Arabia’s population crosses 32 million

The workers in the sector are subject to Social Insurance regulations. According to local media reports, 4,451 Saudi men and women joined the workforce in the last three months.

– Saudi citizens made up 424,734 of the commercial sector’s employees, or 25.7% of the total, while expatriates made up 1,228,816, or 74.3% of the workforce.

– Around 199,000 Saudi women made up 93.5% of the total female labor in the sector, while 13,961 expat women were employed.
