Watch: New Apple iPhone 15 to Be Launched at ‘Wonderlust’ Event – Gulf Insider

Apple will lift the veil of secrecy around the new products to be launched this year at its ‘Wonderlust’ event later today.

The press event takes place at the Steve Jobs Theatre, the cavernous underground auditorium in the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, that can seat just over 1,000 people. Wonderlust starts at 10AM Pacific time (8PM BH/8PM KSA).

The event will be live-streamed and can be watched on the company’s website and other official channels, including YouTube.

Apple’s September events are known for the launch of its new iPhone model, and the fans are expecting more of the same tonight. The iPhone 15 lineup is likely to make its debut, and is likely to feature one of the biggest design changes in many years – the introduction of USB-C charging instead of Apple’s traditional lightning port.

The change to USB-C, which has already been implemented in iPads and MacBooks, has been forced following the decision by the European Union to require all smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, speakers and other devices to switch to a singular mode of charging by 2024.

The new iPhone 15 – which will likely be available in four models (iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max) – is expected to feature a breakthrough camera system and an updated 5G chip. The ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ and ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max will likely see a minor redesign with slimmer bezels and slight changes to the curves of the corners.

In the past few years, Apple has also launched new models of iPods and Apple Watch, and could follow a similar pattern this year. Apple Watch Series 9 and a new version of the ‌Apple Watch Ultra‌ is also expected to be launched at ‘Wonderlust’. A most anticipated feature of Apple Watch would be glucose monitoring, which the company has been working on for some time now.
