Gulf News: KSA Rain is expected, UAE Ride e-scooter, Bahrain Omicron Instance

From January 2022, residents in ten districts will be able to ride e-scooters.
Citizens and residents will be able to ride e-scooters in ten areas around Dubai starting in the first quarter of 2022, according to a top official with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
On Saturday, civil site construction for the infrastructure of the Electric Scooter’s operation began in preparation for the launch of Phase I of the project. This project will span ten Dubai neighborhoods and will begin operations in the first quarter of 2022.
Until now, e-scooters could only be utilized in five Dubai neighborhoods during the trial period, which began in October 2020. Furthermore, until the end of September, RTA stated that e-scooters have made around half a million trips in the Emirate.
The first Omicron instance has been discovered in Bahrain.
The Ministry of Health stated that the first instance of the (Omicron) Coronavirus variant, the mutated form of (Covid-19), has been detected in a visitor from outside Bahrain. The ministry stated that it had followed the process for active cases, including isolating them and adopting all essential health precautions.
After completing a follow-up investigation, the ministry certified that there are no contacts of this case within the Kingdom of Bahrain, and that all approved processes for isolation and follow-up were followed by all competent agencies.
“Rain is expected in these locations next week,” according to the National Weather Service.
The National Center of Meteorology has released its weather prediction for the Kingdom for the coming week.
He said that rain is forecast in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah districts, as well as their coastline areas, from next Wednesday through Saturday.
Tabuk, Al-Jawf, the northern border, Hail, Al-Qassim, north and west Riyadh, and the north of the Eastern Province are all anticipated to be included in this case.
