Saudization of technical engineering professions
From December 30th, 2021, three professions will be saudized.
Saudi Arabia will begin implementing the Saudization decision for the professions of driving schools, technical engineering, and custom clearance on December 30, 2021.
This is in keeping with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s announcement of the localization of 20 professions and activities connected to various industries, which would result in the creation of more than 378,000 employment by 2021.
The Saudization of customs clearing professions intends to increase the proportion of localization in the targeted professions to 100 percent, with a goal of Saudizing 2,000 employment, including the following.
Customs clearance broker
Government Relations Officer
Customs clearance clerk
The monthly salary registered in the social insurance that is subject to subscription must not be less than the minimum salary of 5,000 riyals in order for the Saudi employee to be calculated within the imposed Saudization percentage, according to the procedure manual for the Saudization of the driving schools professions.
The Saudi Human Resources and Development Fund (HADAF) has started the ‘Training and Saudization Support in Driving Schools’ initiative, which will train and qualify job seekers to work in driving schools and fill 8,000 anticipated positions.
All occupations designated as engineering technical professions by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s professional categorization are included in the Saudization of technical engineering professions.
All private sector enterprises in the Kingdom that employ t or more individuals in the designated technical engineering professions are affected by the decision to localize the profession.
According to a Saudi Gazette story, Saudi technicians earning less than 5,000 riyals would not be counted in the enforced localization percentage, which is one of the criteria.
