The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that the number of road accident deaths reduced from 9,311 in the Year 2016 to 6,651 in the Year 2021, marking a significant achievement for the Kingdom.
– This is in line with the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, and it also demonstrates how the leadership is putting its directives into practice and continuing to support the efforts of the relevant officials in the Ministerial Committee for Traffic Safety law.
– By setting annual goals that directly affect the maturity of the indicators, the Kingdom developed a mechanism for tracking the development of strategic performance indicators to lower the number of deaths per 100,000 persons, which is the agreed annual strategic target indicator.
– This is in addition to launching air ambulance services in five locations, identifying areas that require additional support, boosting health skills to care for victims of traffic accidents, and establishing medical facilities with a focus on these injuries.
