Omanis advised to carry passport at all times in Turkey – Gulf Insider
The Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in Ankara, Turkey has advised Omani citizens to carry their passports at all times.
The embassy said in a statement: “The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman calls upon citizens visiting Turkey to carry identification documents, “passport” when they are outdoors, to be able to show them to the security authorities when necessary in order to avoid the long investigation and detention procedures, given the existence of an identity verification campaign, and strict measures towards foreigners in particular in the city of Istanbul.”
