Oman: Residents Above the Age of 60 Can Now Work – Gulf Insider

A resident can now work after reaching the age of 60 years, announced His Excellency Mahad bin Said bin Ali Baowain, the Minister of Labour on Sunday. He added this decision was taken to benefit from the resident’s accumulated experience.

While speaking at the ‘Together We Advance’ Forum, His Excellency added that the decision to allow a resident worker to work after reaching the age of 60 years is a flexible decision for business owners, and will provide opportunities for job seekers.

This came in the ‘Together We Advance’ forum, sponsored by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs. The Forum is focused on three axes – Oman’s vision, financial sustainability and work.
