Travelers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal have been barred from entering Bahrain since May 24.
Bahrain’s Labour Market Regulatory Authority said on Sunday that it will no longer issue new work permits to foreigners from countries on the ‘red list”.
Travelers from the red list nations of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal have been barred from entering Bahrain since May 24. On June 1, 2021, Vietnam was added to the red list.
The edict only applies to people outside the kingdom, according to the authority’s website, and is intended to help the monarchy’s efforts to combat the epidemic.
