Indian Government is considering renaming India as “Bharat”

A resolution to rename India as “Bharat” may be introduced by the Indian government at the upcoming extraordinary session of Parliament. New video : 14 Traffic violations for which the violation fine is 3000 to 6000 riyals in Saudi Arabia

A number of well-known political personalities have publicly supported this choice and have previously encouraged people to refer to India as “Bharat” instead of India, noting that this is the name the nation has been known by for generations.

– Images of the formal invitation to the G20 heads of state and ministers to a dinner held by Draupadi Mormo, the President of the Republic, have surfaced. The invitation appears to have been from the “President of Bharat” instead of “President of India”. Trending : Saudi Arabia is among top 20 nations in soft powers

– The annual G20 conference will take place in India (New Delhi) on Saturday and Sunday (9th and 10th September). Many foreign leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and US President Joe Biden, will attend the summit.

– The country of more than 1.4 billion people has two official names, India and Bharat, but both locally and internationally, the name India is most frequently used. In literature and other forms of popular culture, the word “Hindustan” is frequently used to refer to the country.

– Right-wing members of Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) support the name change. They argue that the word India is a “symbol of slavery” and was invented by British colonials. Before India achieved independence in 1947, the British had controlled the country for roughly 200 years.

– Meanwhile, the Congress launched an attack on the BJP government over a G20 dinner invitation that referred to President Droupadi Murmu as “President of Bharat,” charging the administration with being “scared” of the INDIA bloc and deflecting attention from problems like rising prices and “rising unemployment.”

– The use of “Bharat” rather than “India” in English-language communication, according to opposition leaders, is an attempt to avoid association between the alliance and the name of the nation. It may also be a hint from the government that the topic of the special session of Parliament scheduled for September 18–22 will be a change in the nation’s name.
