Four Arrested for Hunting Wild Animals in Oman – Gulf Insider

Four people have been arrested for hunting a number of Nubian ibex, Arabian gazelle, and wild birds in Dhofar Governorate, the Environment Authority said.

“The General Directorate of Environment in Dhofar Governorate, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, was able to arrest 4 citizens who had hunted a number of Nubian ibex, Arabian gazelle, and wild birds. Legal measures have been taken against them, in preparation for referring them to judicial authorities, ” the Authority said in a statement.

The Environment Authority calls upon all citizens, residents and tourists to abide by environmental laws to avoid legal accountability.
