A young Bahraini man has admitted to burning two cars, claiming he was under the influence of volatile solvents.
The Public Prosecution charged him with deliberately starting a fire that would have endangered lives and property. The next hearing is set for September 18 at the High Criminal Court.
The incident occurred when an Asian security guard smelled smoke while on duty at a glass company.
The perpetrator opened the car’s fuel cap and started a fire inside the tank before fleeing. The witness found the cars aflame and doused the fire with water before contacting the police. The defendant was identified through an investigation.
