Adding 9 new routes with the start of 2nd Phase of Riyadh Bus Network

As the project continues to launch the remaining stages with the aim of full operation, it will eventually cover 1,120 km from the districts of Riyadh through 500 new stations and stopping points.

– The King Abdulaziz Public Transport Project in Riyadh aims to develop public transport in the city of Riyadh and bring about a qualitative shift that enhances the public transport sector in the capital.

– The authority noted that the first phase witnessed the operation of more than 180,000 buses, and the number of passengers increased. The second phase of Riyadh buses was launched after the first phase in the month of Shaaban.

– The Riyadh bus services are gradually expanding to reach all passengers and target groups in order to facilitate their arrival at their destinations. The authority launched the second phase of the Riyadh bus under the slogan “Bus – Routes – More Stations” with the intention of introducing the available services and additions that have been developed in the network.

– The “choose your destination” feature, which enables users to plan their trip, select their destination, and then purchase tickets, is part of the second phase, which also sees the introduction of new features through the official electronic application of Riyadh buses (Riyadh bus), which can be found in various app stores. To directly track bus movements on the chosen routes, the ticket and a map update have both been introduced.
