The Saudi Moroor through its official X (Twitter) handle stated that anyone hired as a driver in the Kingdom can drive a car with a valid driving license granted by his country.
– According to the General Traffic Department, this is for a duration of no more than 3 months as long as the license is translated by a recognized agency and fits the type of vehicle the driver is operating.
– Earlier this, the Saudi Moroor warned against using phone while driving, as it threatens the safety of drivers and others. The Moroor added that, using mobile while driving leads to a lack of safety distance with oncoming vehicles, and bypassing road signs and warnings without being seen.
– Using a cell phone while driving leads to fluctuations in vehicle speed, failure to pay attention to nearby vehicles and pedestrians, sudden dangers and failure to adhere to the designated lanes on the roads.
