15 Foreign Law companies licensed to practice Law in Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Justice said that 15 law companies from other countries have been given licenses to practice law. At the moment, the authorities are also looking at 15 more applications from those who want to practice the legal profession in the Kingdom. Most Viewed : Law to Protect the Rights of Elderly people

The Ministry said that the licenses were given to a number of companies from nations like the US and the UK. These changes were meant to improve the environment for investment and business in the Kingdom, make lawyers more efficient, and raise the status of the legal field.

– It is important to note that in March of this year, the ministry gave the first licenses of its kind to three foreign companies. Three foreign law companies were given licenses to work as lawyers in the Kingdom by Minister of Justice Dr. Walid Al-Samaani and Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih. – Herbert Smith Freehills LLP, Latham and Watkins LLP, and Clifford Chance LLP were the law companies that got licenses. The licenses are the first ones given to law companies from outside the Kingdom to work there since the Code of Law Practice’s licensing rules were changed by the Council of Ministers.

– In January of this year, the Ministry of Justice made it possible for foreign law companies to use Najiz.sa, its electronic platform for legal services, to apply for licenses to work in the Kingdom.

– Simple steps can be taken to get the service. Users must go to Najiz.sa, select “Apply for law practice license (for foreign law firms),” fill out the forms that are specific to that service, and attach the necessary documents, according to the ministry.
